FISMEP Final Digital Event – Present and Future of Innovative, Open Platforms for Smart Energy

Loading Events

We are pleased to invite you to the final digital event of the FISMEP project “FIWARE for Smart Energy Platform”, also supported by OPEN DEI, in which the project will highlight the main results and key achievements of the past three years and we will discuss, together with field experts, about the challenges and requirements for the future wide implementation of an innovative, open source platform for smart energy.

There is urgent need to unlock Smart Grid Technologies and Services by means of a standardized software platform that can support interoperability. FISMEP targeted this need by developing a cloud-based, service-oriented open source software platform, powered by FIWARE, to facilitate an efficient, automated and sustainable energy supply.

In the past three years a total of seven research and industrial partners from Germany, Sweden and Romania jointly worked on a smart energy solution aimed at providing new capabilities in the area of transmission and distribution grid management. Research conducted in FISMEP follows an interdisciplinary approach that comprises the areas energy, information and communication technology (ICT) as well as social science. To show and exploit the platform‘s impact on the energy system, three field tests were carried out on the three locations. Here, innovative use cases were demonstrated with a particular focus on energy efficiency, performance and user-centered adaptation.
